This year, we are once again pleased to have received a 2-star award in the falstaff Weinguide Deutschland 2021, which declares our winery to be an insider tip that will be heard from in the future. Not least because our fourth generation is already ready. The words of praise fill us with pride.

Even on the small Ahr there are still insider tips! The Max Schell vineyard is run in the third generation by Wolfgang Schulze-Icking, the grandson of the founder, and his wife Katarina. From top sites such as Ahrweiler Silberberg and Ahrweiler Rosenthal, Wolfgang Schulze-Icking presses Burgundies that combine substance with richness. And now the fourth generation is already getting ready: daughter Annika has just completed her apprenticeship as a winemaker and started studying oenology. An additional hectare of vines has also been planted. We will certainly be hearing about this winery in the future.
