Description
This Pinot Noir comes from our vineyard in the Neuenahrer Sonnenberg site. The vineyard is predestined to produce particularly fruity and full-bodied wines due to its soil conditions and southern exposure.
The many hours of sunshine, especially in 2022, have resulted in a red wine with very ripe fruit aromas that immediately reminds of Amarena cherries and wild berries on the nose. The use of new barrique barrels also gives the wine a good tannin structure and brings great aromas of vanilla, chocolate and spices. Although the acidity is present, it is well integrated and gives the wine the necessary elegance.
It is a wonderfully balanced, classic Pinot Noir with velvety tannins, great potential and a surprisingly long finish.
Vinification method: Classic mash fermentation, matured for 20 months in new barrique barrels.
German quality wine, dry
